New Faculty Orientation
This brief two-hour course is required for all new nursing faculty/instructors who oversee students at a Sharp Healthcare facility.

This brief two-hour course is required for all new nursing faculty/instructors who oversee students at a Sharp Healthcare facility (including Sharp employees). If this is the first time you will facilitate a clinical group at Sharp, this course is for you.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are a returning instructor, you are required to attend an annual, one-hour virtual meeting with the Faculty Orientation Coordinator. Please sign up for that meeting at 82-Sharp: Course name: Returning Faculty Update.
If you are overseeing students in a preceptorship or leadership clinical experience, you are NOT required to take this course.

Parking Information
Parking is available in the Spectrum visitor parking lot in front of the building. From Spectrum Center Boulevard, enter the lot through Gate 1. Take a ticket if prompted to. The front desk will validate the ticket after class.

- Orientation to clinical unit
Presenter Information
Kris Lambert PhD RN is a Nursing Education Consultant at the Caster Nursing Institute. She has worked for Sharp Healthcare for over 20 years in a multitude of nursing roles. She is also a faculty member at a local university teaching pre-licensure, traditional, accelerated BSN students as well as graduate students seeking an advanced nursing degree. As the Faculty Orientation Liaison for Sharp Healthcare, she is dedicated to ensuring that all patients, family members and interdisciplinary members of the healthcare team, experience positive outccomes.
Arrival
New Faculty Orientation takes place at the Caster Nursing Institute, 2nd floor classroom. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time to sign-in.
