Basic breastfeeding tips for moms-to-be.

This in-person class teaches the basic skills for successful breastfeeding so you can feel more comfortable and confident once your baby arrives.

- Breastfeeding basics
- Positioning
- Proper latch-on
- Breast pumping/types of pumps
- Tips for going back to work
- Nursing bras
- Time for questions and answers

Parking Information
Parking is available in the lot surrounding the building. You will receive a voucher for free parking during class.

- Student Observation: If you are not an expectant parent and need to observe a class, approval must be obtained prior to attendance. This class is taught by a certified perinatal or lactation educator.
Arrival
Keep our community healthy
We’re excited to return to in-person classes, but we need your help. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of illness.
If you are attending the class at Sharp Grossmont Hospital for Women & Newborns, all visitors age 18 and older are required to present a government-issued photo ID upon arrival.
What to Bring
We encourage you to have a support person with you at the class.
Course Recommendations
We recommend you take this class 3-4 weeks prior to your due date.
