Adaptive Weight Training Class
This six-class series provides neurology patients with an adaptive space to exercise after they have been discharged from physical and occupational therapy.

This six-class series provides patients with an adaptive space and equipment to safely exercise with independence after they have been discharged from outpatient neurological physical and occupational therapy. It aims to improve discharge plans and addresses community needs for exercise-based maintenance programs.
Each hourlong class includes four to six people, meeting every Monday in the East Gym with a Sharp therapist. All patients will be supervised during exercises, setting up equipment as needed, and providing no more than contact guard assist to one person at a given time.

Parking Information
Parking is available in Health Center Drive parking lot, across from Sharp Outpatient Center (Allison deRose Rehabilitation Center). Validated parking is available.
Fee Information
The fee is $120 for the six classes.
Special Instructions
This class is for people who have been recently discharged from outpatient physical and occupational therapy services. They must have established home exercise programs provided by a primary therapist. Patients are required to have a signed medical release form from their medical doctor to participate.
Schedule
This class meets every Monday from 4:15 to 5:15 pm. Classes are capped at four to six clients per gym availability. One licensed therapist and aide/volunteer will be present to provide limited assistance as needed.
