An orientation class for newly hired inpatient RNs, LVNs and LPTs at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital.

This 8-hour event is a requirement for all newly hired licensed nursing staff members including registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses and licensed psychiatric technicians.
The course will provide a foundation of knowledge for Sharp Mesa Vista nurses. Topics may include but are not limited to:
- Professional practice guidelines and scope and standards of practice
- Comprehensive suicide risk assessment
- The nursing role in therapeutic group activities
- Psychopharmacology/pharmacotherapy
- Infection prevention

Parking Information
Parking is available in the lot directly in front of the hospital. Parking fees may apply. If using public transportation, take the 25/120 bus to Vista Hill Avenue and Meadowlark Drive.
Special Instructions
Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified at least two days in advance and will have the opportunity to attend another date.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours before the start of the class.

This course will be led by the senior nursing specialist team from the nursing administration at Sharp Mesa Vista.
