Presented by Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital
Please note that group meetings will be held virtually until further notice. You can attend via your phone, computer or mobile device. Registration is not required.
You’re invited to attend the family and patient support group for Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
This online workshop provides basic information regarding DBT staff and services offered at the Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital DBT-Skills Intensive Outpatient Program.
The goals of the group are to:
- Teach some of the basic DBT ideas and skills that clients are learning in the program.
- Explain how maladaptive behaviors develop and are maintained.
- Explore ways to provide an environment for clients that balances validation (where the focus is on acceptance) and problem-solving (where the focus is on change).
- Provide mutual support and problem solving between group attendees.
If you have questions, please contact us at 858-836-8459 or by entering your name and email address in the "Learn More" box on this page. The program lead will email you within two business days.
