Navigating your health care journey can be challenging. During this interactive session, join in a conversation about how to explore your wishes for future treatment, talk with your medical team about what is most important to you and learn about ways to plan ahead for future care.
At this free online event, we will explore:
- How to select a first mate who can help navigate health care decisions
- Chart a health care course that aligns with what is most important to you
- Adjust to changing winds that can create stormy seas.
- Pull up to the dock at the end of the journey in a way resonates with your wishes

Presenter Information
John Tastad, MA, is the coordinator for Spiritual Support Services at Sharp HospiceCare, and the coordinator for the Advance Care Planning program at Sharp HealthCare.
In his 24th year at Sharp, Tastad's academic training includes undergraduate studies at Bushnell University and graduate studies at Fuller Theological Seminary and the University of San Diego. He is a past chair of the San Diego Coalition for Compassionate Care and is actively involved in bioethics at Sharp and in the community. Tastad has spoken on variety of topics related to bioethics, spiritual care and advance care planning for many national, state and local academic institutions and organizations.
Arrival
This virtual event will take place via Microsoft Teams. You can join on your smartphone or computer using the Teams app, which you will be prompted to download before joining the session.
