Sharp HealthCare is committed to helping you give your baby the best possible start in life. This support group is devised to help new parents and their babies learn from others about their successes and challenges with breastfeeding. Attendees will walk away with new ideas and techniques to try and improve their own breastfeeding success at home.

This support group is free and registration is not required. Please refrain from attending if you are sick or think you might be contagious.

We also offer a virtual breastfeeding support group. Please go to Breastfeeding Support Group Webinar for additional information and to register.

Hosted by Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center

  • Presenter: This group is led by a certified perinatal educator.
  • What to Bring: Please bring your baby. You are also welcome to have an adult support person (women only) attend with you.
  • Please note that this support group is conducted in English and Spanish (este grupo se lleva a cabo en ingles y español).

  • What to bring: Please bring your baby. You are also welcome to have an adult support person attend with you. Fathers/partners are welcome.
  • Please note that all visitors to the Sharp Grossmont Hospital for Women & Newborns age 18 and older are now required to present a government-issued photo ID upon arrival.

  • Presenter: This group is led by an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and lactation educator.
  • What to bring: Please bring your baby. You are also welcome to have an adult support person attend with you. Fathers/partners are welcome.

If you need to cancel your registration for this event, please call 1-800-827-4277 Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm, or log in to your account to cancel online.

Parking Information plus

Free parking is available in structure No. 2, which is located closest to the main hospital entrance. Please bring your parking ticket with you to the group meeting to receive validation and to ensure your parking is free. Parking in other structures or lots may result in a small fee.

Schedule plus

There are no group meetings on major holidays.
