Monica Hinton

Monica Hinton is the utilization review social worker at Sharp McDonald Center.

As a high school student, Monica's friends would regularly come to her for counseling, triggering an interest in a career in psychology. She went on to earn her degree, finding a love in working with people and watching them heal and grow.

Monica is the past president of the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi) and is on the board of the San Diego Psychological Association (SDPA).

She is also a self-proclaimed horror, sci-fi and superhero "nerd".
