Dr. G, Sharp Grossmont Hospital
Dr. Anitha Garlapati — aka Dr. G — humbly volunteered to be the first to participate in Sharp Grossmont’s Patient Experience Physician Rounding Partnership.
For six months, she worked intensively with The Insight Center to improve her patient communication strategies through personalized and data-driven feedback.
Today, her patient experience scores are in the 99th percentile and she serves as a role model to both team members and physicians for positive style of communication and her dedication to service excellence.

Sharp LGBTQ+ Advisory Council and Clinical Health Equity Council and Sharp Equality Alliance, Sharp HealthCare — Multi-Entity
With the Human Rights Campaign’s Healthcare Equality Index as their framework, these teams developed and implemented best practices to advance health equity for the LGBTQ+ community.
From expanding patient services and community engagement, to enhancing staff training and employee policies, the team worked tirelessly for inclusivity for all.
The result? A perfect score of 100 for each Sharp hospital and recognition of Sharp as a 2024 LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader.

With simulation spaces, debrief rooms and a control room, this new, state-of-the-art space housed within the Sharp Prebys Innovation and Education Center offers a variety of services to internal and external customers.
The team supports system safety efforts, educational opportunities, provides tours, hosts conferences, partners with Sharp Ventures on technological advances, and supports the Foundations of Sharp HealthCare with philanthropic efforts.
