
Do over-the-counter decongestants work?
A popular nasal decongestant found on pharmacy shelves may not be there for long.
Seung Oh, PharmD, is the pharmacy supervisor at Sharp Rees-Stealy Santee Medical Center. He earned a Master of Advanced Studies Degree in the Leadership of Health Care Organizations from University of California, San Diego, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Arizona. He was appointed to the California State Board of Pharmacy by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2020 and serves as president.
Oh became a pharmacist because he’s passionate about the importance of providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to keep patients safe. His favorite part about his job is assisting patients with health insurance-related questions and helping them navigate their pharmacy benefits.
When he's not working with patients, Oh enjoys traveling and visiting new places. His top three favorite cities are San Diego, Paris and Seoul.
