I watched my father struggle with a serious illness throughout my life but also enjoy an extended life due to his involvement with great healthcare teams and great physicians. I decided to become a physician because I wanted to be able to offer that gift to other patients and families. I believe that the practice of medicine should always aim to build a partnership between patients and their care team; it is a two-way communication, and the goal is health and wellness. I always aim to partner with patients to share my experience and guidance, and to honor their judgment and decisions. Outside of medicine, I'm very active outdoors, I enjoy gardening and love to spend time with my family.
