About Andrea Journagin, MD
Since I was a small child I have wanted to take care of people. I chose to become an OBGYN because I love women's health and being able to help women through all stages of their life. My philosophy is that patients should be full partners in their health. That is why I make it a point to listen to patients and take the time to explain all of their medical options so they can make the best decisions for both them and their families. In my spare time I love to read, spend time with my dogs Chai and Pepper, travel and explore my new San Diego community.

I was treated like an adult, listened to and talked to in a way I felt I was not being talked down to, which has happened to me before. I felt very comfortable with her and learned more about my diagnosis and options and felt more co fudent about my health care when I left. I wish she could do my surgery but has to send it thru oncology just in case. But she made me feel secure in the next steps. I would say I have never felt as comfortable talking to a Dr. Even though I need surgery . She is caring and explains things wonderfully, where you actually don't feel like your being talked down to. I will tell everyone to see her if needed. I wish she could be my GP.
